Recording and Sending Video(s) to us with your Phone

Record with your phone in the horizontal position. Record in one continuous segment in a quiet room (as possible) with lights in front of you (try not to have windows or bright lights behind the back of the person talking on camera). Start recording an pause 2 seconds at beginning/ending as we will be editing the footage. Please speak loudly and clearly. Upon completion, do not directly email or text the video to us because the resolution will be poor.  Instead, download the video file and/or send it to us by using your usb drive, corporate ftp, dropbox, youtube link, google drive (use slatsvideo@gmail.com), or www.wetransfer.com (preferred).
Send video (.mp4 file or .move) file using www.wetransfer.com to:

  • Shoot Horizontal (not upright)
  • Lighting is Crucial (no lights or windows BEHIND your head)
  • Angle the camera at eye level (not pointing up your nose)
  • Use Tripod, Balance on Table, or Be Steady
  • Speak Loudly and Clearly
  • Wait 2 seconds to start after pressing record
DO NOT simply email or text a video to us!  The quality will not be good enough to use it.  Please upload your .mp4 or .mov video file to wetransfer.com and send it to:  slatsvideo@gmail.com from that system.

You may also upload your video to your personal YOUTUBE or VIMEO account and share the link with us!
