In memory of Larry Charest

Larry worked for Absolute Video for many years as a trusted and valuable videographer and advisor.  Our customers loved his humor, history, and video skills.  Larry produced several documentary videos including Cooperstown Dreams Park and Fearless Champion: A Day in the Life of a Firefighter.

Larry R. Charest peacefully joined the Lord at the age of 93 on May 20, 2022. Larry was born in New Auburn, Maine to his parents Jean Pierre and Anna Charest. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Lewiston, Maine, and attended College in Victoria in the Province of Quebec, Canada. He joined the US Navy in 1948 and was a Navy photographer for 4 years during the Korean War, serving aboard the Admiral’s Flagship of the Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean Sea. Larry retired after 27 years as a Texaco service station owner. In his free time, he obtained his private pilot license with a multi-engine rating and belonged to the Safari Flying Club in Hollywood, FL. In 1992, he retired again, after 13 years as a real estate broker. Larry was a member of Jupiter First Church. He is pre-deceased by his parents, 1st wife Ruth Charest & 2nd wife Maxine Wade Reed Charest as well as 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Surviving daughters are Karen McGregor of Port St. Lucie & Pamela (Robert) Nocera of Atlanta, GA, as well as 4 grandchildren, Krystal & Robbie McGregor of Vero Beach, FL, Chris (Neelam) & Brittan Nocera of Atlanta, GA, a stepson Charles (Dan) (Cindy) Petill of Lake Wales, FL, 2 step granddaughters Jill (Dan) McClelland, Kerri (Chris) Jettinghoff, four step great grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren.
